Range Rover L405 – Cigarette Lighter Socket Plug Bracket
45 $ (exc. Vat)
This bracket replaces the back half of the Xlifter controller and plugs directly into the 12V socket located inside the center console box between the front seats — right in front of the optional mini fridge.
It may look a bit bulky — but it’s a smart, all-in-one solution: it holds the controller securely in place, delivers power, and completely hides any messy wiring.
🛠️ Installation: This version requires a few extra steps:
- Unscrew and remove the original backplate of the Xlifter controller (4 screws).
- Disconnect the power cable carefully — press the pin with a pen and gently pull each wire with small pliers. Work one wire at a time until fully disconnected.
- Maneuver the cable out of the controller body.
- Unscrew the top of the 12V plug and remove the round plastic sleeve from the cable. Keep only the top pin (+) and metal contact (–).
- Route the cable through the printed bracket, reassemble the 12V plug, and fold the cable neatly into the housing. If the cable is too long, shorten the wires to the needed length, solder the tips, and reinsert them into the connector.
- Reattach the controller using the 4 original screws.
We know it may feel pricey for a plastic part — and that’s why the full 3D model is available for free on the Xlifter Accessories page. If you’ve got a printer and some patience, you’re good to go.
But if you’d rather skip the hassle and get a professionally printed, polished piece that fits perfectly — this is your plug-and-play option.
